Kairos

Privacy Policy

How Kairos handles your information, in plain terms.

Last updated June 25, 2026

The short version

This policy covers the Kairos app for iOS ("Kairos", "we", "us"). It explains what information the app handles, why, and the choices you have. If anything here is unclear, contact us using the details at the bottom.

On your device

Information you create in Kairos

The countdowns, goals, commitments, daily check-ins, and settings you create are stored locally on your device using Apple's on-device storage (SwiftData). This information stays on your device. We do not operate a server that receives it, and this version of Kairos does not sync to iCloud or any online account.

If you delete Kairos, this information is removed from your device along with the app.

Subscriptions

Purchase and subscription information

Kairos offers a paid subscription with a free trial. Purchases are processed by Apple; we never receive or store your payment card details.

To unlock features and keep your subscription working across reinstalls, Kairos uses RevenueCat, a subscription-management service. RevenueCat assigns an anonymous identifier to your install and records your subscription and purchase status, along with limited technical information such as device type, operating system version, and country or region. This is not tied to your name or to a personal account, and it is used to manage your subscription, not to identify you.

Analytics

Anonymous usage analytics

To understand how people use Kairos, especially which parts of first-time setup help and where people get stuck, the app records anonymous product-analytics events using PostHog. This covers things like which screens you see and which setup options you choose. It never includes the content you create, such as your countdowns, commitments, or check-ins. It is tied only to a random identifier for your install, never to your name, email, or precise location, and it is never used for advertising or to track you across other apps or websites.

You can turn analytics off at any time in Settings, under Privacy, inside the app. PostHog processes this data on our behalf in the United States.

How we use information

Third parties

Services we rely on

RevenueCat handles subscription management and stores related data on Amazon Web Services in the United States. See the RevenueCat Privacy Policy.

PostHog provides the anonymous product-analytics described above, processed in the United States. See the PostHog Privacy Policy.

Apple provides the App Store, processes payments, and handles features such as Family Sharing if you use them. See Apple's Privacy Policy.

These are the only outside services that handle any data connected to Kairos.

Storage

Retention and security

Information you create stays on your device, protected by iOS. Subscription data held by RevenueCat is kept while your subscription is active and afterward as described in their policy. Data sent for subscription management is encrypted in transit.

Your control

Your choices and rights

You can remove all on-device information by deleting Kairos from your device. To request deletion of the subscription data associated with your install, email us using the address below and we will remove it from RevenueCat.

You can turn off anonymous analytics at any time in Settings, under Privacy, inside the app.

We do not sell your personal information or share it for advertising. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access or delete data held about you; contact us and we will help.

Children

Children's privacy

Kairos is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has provided information through the app, contact us and we will address it.

Updates

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will post the new version on this page and update the date above.
